so this huge bridge that crosses the mississippi river collapsed last night. collapsed. um, yeah. collapsed. this bridge carried from 100,000 to 200,000 cars back and forth across the river on a daily basis. nothing this huge and disasterous ever happened in minnesota before. we were told not to make cell phone calls all night to keep the airways clear. and my symbollic side is thinking about how that bridge is the only direct route between toni's house and my apartment. talk about bridges collapsing. but as kl assured me, it won't take as long for you to rebuild trust with toni as it will take to rebuild that bridge. but still, symbollic, surreal, and totally crazy stuff. |
