2007-07-26 some good news and some not so good news

well on top of my personal problems i now have a medical one in that i have to see a surgeon about some abnormal cells in my thyroid. worst case scenario is that my thyroid has to come out and i will have to have a two day surgery. plus recovery time. plus a lifetime of meds & treatment for it.

and just a minute ago i got a call about a job interview as a volunteer and development coordinator at a teen clinic.

Mission: The Annex Teen Clinic provides low cost, confidential, nonjudgmental sexuality-related health care, education, and outreach for adolescents and young adults up to age 23. We also provide classes, support and resources for parents so that they may be the primary sexuality educators for their children. The Annex Teen Clinic has been serving the community since 1971.
Our mission is to support the young people of North Minneapolis and Northwest Hennepin County in the challenging transition from adolescence to adulthood through advocacy, health care and education.


Hell yeah! Some good news! AND I get to take a PhD level course starting September 4th! It's called Advanced Studies in Sexuality Studies.
