tonight i will go check out the new mpls global market modelled after the pike's market in seattle and other such open markets except the one here is not an open market because it gets too damn cold in the winter to be exposed to the elements, come to think of it, it's too damn hot in the summer to be exposed to the elements as well, in any case, the elements do not favor an open market here. regardless, this open market is pretty exciting with more than 50 international vendors, everything from freshly made mozzarella to farm raised fresh chicken. and more that i can better report back to you after we have made our excursion. it's nearly the weekend again. which i am looking forward to. there is a weekend full of art fests in this fine city (3 to be exact) and this same fine city (to be nice) arranges free shuttle busses between the 3 art fests so that people don't have to deal with the whole mess of parking that will be inevitable. i think that is a fine idea. and a friend of mine's band is performing sat am at the loring park fest. so that is where i will be at. and then we'll probably hop around, considering the weather holds up. |
