i got fitted for contacts today and it looks as though i will have 20/20 vision! this is VERY exciting. they are a little uncomfortable but i'll get used to them. i just had the fitting, so they will be ordered and i might have them within a week! i made two passover cakes last night. one almond cake with a honey topping (supposed to taste a lot like baklava) and one carrot almond torte. both very tricky endeavors. non flour cakes are so damn time consuming. but it was a good time. my dad and i bonded. also, i don't know why we never make a flourless chocolate cake. it seems as though it would be a big hit! atleast i would think so, but maybe it's because dessert is such a non-issue after all the other foods that are consumed over the course of the meal. the warm weather here reminds me of sarah's room in the jp apartment with all the fans and the humidity and summer and sitting on her back porch with a diet coke and reading. is it summer here already? i'm okay with that. |
