the new friend brunch was a success. thanks new friends. in other news, i am taking tomorrow off. which will be surprisingly monetarily rewarding. it's funny how that happens sometimes. but my mom's friend who wants help on her thesis is going to pay me much much more than i get at the U, so a sick day never hurt anyone... i've been getting asked a lot lately if i want to have kids. so for the record, i am simply not ready to think about such things. it wouldn't be fair to my potential kids if i were to take on that responsibility right now, i know that for damn sure. and i'm not entirely sure what kind of role kids will have in my future. speaking of futures, i've decided that my definite plan is to apply for PhD programs this coming fall. it will be the most exciting thing in the world if i manage to get into one. i will spend some time studying for and retaking the gre just to ensure such things... i had decent scores the first time, but i think if i brought them up a bit it would make a difference. |
