my favorite highlight from the weekend happened at about 4am saturday night when sarah (in her sleep) threatened my life by saying "if you don't stop that i'm going to hit you with my purse". we like to think that she was referring to my snoring, cause it's funnier that way. but who really knows what she was talking about. my second favorite highlight from the weekend was when we leave the house sunday for our day of lunch and a movie only to discover that it was a beautiful day out so we reconsider our plans. we decide to stick with lunch but to take an impromtu day trip to portsmouth to look around the shops and see the coast. of course we get there and it's Freezing on the water, Freezing, so we spend maybe 5 minutes there. and then also of course all the shops are closed cause it's easter sunday. and who wants to keep their shop open for the two jewish tourists that might wander into town? i wouldn't. so that was pretty much a bust except for the one card shop that was open and a nature shop and one cutesy gifty shop. there was a lot of, oh, that store looks cute. for when we come back... that looks like fun... etc etc. yeah so then i called us a sad sack, by which i meant that sometimes we have the greatest intentions, me and sarah, and they don't always work out as we planned. but sarah did not much like that analogy. until i explained it, and then she agreed. and then we had a state of the union, which went alright, and then not so well, then alright again, and then was left in a not so good place with sw speeding off in her chunkmobile leaving me with about 10 grocery bags in one hand and a pack of the diet coke in my other hand. right after i brought over to her house the tension tamer tea. but i guess you have to drink it before the tensions are tamed. |
