it's an up and down road here in mpls these last few days. i chilled out friday night at home. nothing big. twas nice. but then woke up saturday morning missing my ladyfriend like the dickens. i finally got my plans together and left for northfield around 1pm but i'd already been stewing in sadness for a little while by then. once i got there we had a nice time. i played with riley while mom and pop attempted to do yard work. and then we made some dinner and chilled. life is crazy with a baby though. let me tell you. and this one has some ENERGY. then sunday was get stood up by a potential roommate day and meet 2 potential roommates. i really like one of them. i hope she says, cool, let's do it. soon. and then i had some afternoon time to stew and be sad and miss my girlfriend and attempt to call her even though her phone was being all funky, and i also had enough time to talk myself into her being in some sort of danger because i couldn't reach her but she called back not too long after and assured me that she's okay. and then, to top the weekend off, i played a rousing game of poker with the adult punks and some of the young punks and did well. i came with five dollars and left with five dollars. i'm really enjoying this new poker thing with these folks. i hope we keep playing regularly. i get caught up in it. and it takes my mind off missing my lovely ladyfriend. all in all i did okay. 2 weekends down out of 10. only 8 left. |
