sometimes
2006-11-29 not a big fan

i watched the final episodes of the sopranos season last night, and it was sad to say goodbye to said characters. except for the fact that the final season was much less drama filled and riveting than any of the other seasons. it fell flat. so i guess i was okay to see them go. i didn't cry like at the end of six feet under. so that's something. also, i don't think sopranos pulled so much at the heartstrings as six feet under (which was one of the saddest season finales ever, but sad in a hopeful way too). nonetheless, it is sad to see the good hbo programming end. no more sex and the city. no more beforementioned shows. there is weeds, but that is not hbo (showtime, i think). it may just have been a cultural moment of genius. because i don't think there will be a time of such intelligent television in the near future. i don't see it, anyway. i mean, critical essays could be written about all three of those shows. and i did write one about sex and the city (which pleasingly allowed me to watch limitless hours of said show).
anyway, tonight is curried red lentil soup night (which i kind of got in a little trouble for freezing by my ladyfriend - better freeze than waste, right ladyfriend?). i am out of netflix. so we'll have to entertain ourselves in other capacities.
i am not a big fan of work today. ps.
