i heard a song on the current the other day that i love and i can't for the life of me remember the artist or the song name and even though i've spent the last hour looking at the playlist of the station for the last week i still can't find it. i just remember that it was upbeat and i sort of have a tune that runs through my head but doesn't at all help me with the song name or artist. it is really going to bother me though. i may not be able to give up on it until i look through like a month of this month's playlist. yes, that will be what i will do. and then i will have to let it go. good thing i have some down time at the computer for solving such musical mysteries. antonia and i saw a great play last night at the new guthrie (which may be my new favorite place for local theater) called yellowman. it was a two person show, and the acting was incredible. i was impressed. they managed to tell the story of two people from childhood to adulthood and barely had set or even costume changes. it was bare bones and simplistic and beautiful. the writing was spot on, and flawless top to bottom. it ended kind of down but i didn't leave feeling down at all. which i haven't entirely figured out yet. but it happens. we also ran into my mom's friend corey at the theater, which i thought was funny. she also enjoyed it. quite a bit, as she said it was the most beautiful thing she'd ever seen. so it wasn't just us. |
