i've discovered that i'm more of a perfectionist than i ever imagined
i've been making hummus
this is my third batch
and it has to be perfect
i have my brother as a taste tester
but he is only so honest with me
and i need the brutal honest truth
of how it can be perfect
although perfection is a matter of taste
which is tricky
so right now i'm settling for garlicky, lemony, smooth yummy hummus
i think it's pretty damn good
but i didn't know that i was the sort that wouldn't stop until i got it right
i've been doing that with other dishes too -- like this meat sauce concoction i've been working on, as well various rice dishes -- i'm going to endeavor into indian food soon, which i think will be my greatest culinary challenge yet to date
