there was a minor breakthrough at work today when i was alerted in a hush hush sort of way that one of my co-workers is leaving. she told me that i should put in a word, once it's public, and maybe i can be up for her job. this definitely makes sense in a big picture kind of way because her job would be a bit more behind the scenes, the hours would be better, and things would be more flexible all around. so i just have to wait for the news to go public before i go forward with my intentions. i can hardly wait to have that discussion, but i will be patient. in the meantime i have a big day here at the desk in front of me and little to nothing to do. i have two student workers coming in today and they will also have little to nothing to do today on this slow friday. c'mon weekend, when are you going to get here already? man. |
