so here's what happened: late friday night there was a power outage on my block which means that me and magoo woke up as popsicles. i didn't want to get out of bed because the air around us was palpably freezing. but i had things to do and movies to see, so i escaped the bed chamber, decided to forgo a shower since i figured without electricity the water scene might be cold (although i can't verify that because i never checked) and then i went to a movie, only to return a few hours later to make sure magoo hadn't turned into a realtime popsicle. meanwhile the neighbor who we steal our internet from had their network go out so we were out of service too and i think they were out of town because it didn't get rebooted until tonight. i am not a fan of not having internet. also i saw the ralph lauren car exhibit at the mfa this weekend and i think it is my alltime favorite special exhibit i've gotten to see courtesy of lom. and there have been many...also i saw a parrot movie and i'm going around town recommending it because really how else are people going to know that there is a parrot movie documentary that is really delightful and i mean that in the best possible way. it's call the wild parrots of telegraph hill. my favorite parrot is mingus because he dances to guitar folkie tunes. but i also liked connor. he stuck up for the sick and downtrodden pigeons of the flock. this weekend has also involved some karaoke revolution in which ab has succeeded in surpassing my singing skills (probably not that hard, i'm not that good) but ab is, so she deserves big props. also i beat lom at mvp baseball 2005, which is the good news, the bad news is that i had to be the damn yankees to do it. silly twins couldn't get it together this time around. even though i was wearing my twins cap. what's a girl gotta do? and then i got romped in def jam where rappers fight each other because i think lom has been looking up all the secrets online or something. either that or she had some pent up anger and decided to take it out on my poor rappers. poor ludacris. poor busta rhymes. sorry guys. i did you no justice today. ps i miss sw |
