i'm getting stuff done but definitely at a snails pace

this year i've discovered that i work more efficiently when i'm under pressure of a deadline, like last week i woke up at 10am to get a paper in by noon. that was quite an accomplishment. i think that must have been the closest call in quite a while.

tonight sarah and i are going to a melissa ferrick show. this is the first show we've gone together because it was one of the first tickets that we got since we were together. all the other concert tickets were bought before we started dating. so this is cool. i'm excited. we're going to have a pre-date at diesel which is a pretty cool place. of course i haven't been there since i came to visit angela here in november right after england. i didn't go to diesel with angela either. we got in some sort of funk so i left her and stayed with lindsay for the night, and lindsay took me out to diesel and dinner. i still feel badly about that time with lindsay because i was such a mess i don't know how she even had the patience to put up with me for one night.

i'm reading but i'm also checking things out online, have the newlywed show on mute, and am listening to ms ferrick's latest album to get into the groove for the show. it's going to be fun getting out for a bit tonight. it's been so cold it's been hard to get up the energy to leave the dorm. but it's warming up slowly and it's really sunny today which is always a nice bonus.
